Venus and Jupiter hanging out with the Moon

December 2nd, 2008 - 4:09pm by Slye Fox

Did anyone else peek at the moon last night and notice the two bright "stars" next to it? I was caught staring and pondering whilst leaving the liquor store with beer. I figured one must be Venus, because that's always the brightest spot in the sky.

Turns out that it was Venus and Jupiter keeping the moon company. And they won't appear that way again until 2052 according to the interwebz. Peek again tonight though for the same display, but closer to the horizon.

I though it looked like an upside down frown. It was really beautiful.
