A Pleasant Surprise at the Pump

October 16th, 2008 - 9:24am by Slye Fox

Holy shit! Maybe I've just been ignorant because I haven't been paying attention, but I just gassed up this morning for

Yay! Wins! Happiness galore! My wonderful little Volkswagen go-kart gets over 30 miles to the gallon so I only have to gas up about once every other week, and the last time it was for a dollar more per gallon. Score!

Anyway, obviously it made my morning. :)

In other news, McCain is a complete geriatric dumbass. Obama is so collected and was the only one in last night's debate to actually answer any of the questions posed instead of regurgitating the same rhetoric we've already heard from gramps. Major kudos to Obama. He clearly "won". Again.

At least McCain refrained from referring to us as "my friends" except for once in his closing statement. The new republican focus is obviously to refer to everyone as Joe "somebody". Joe Sixpack, Joe the Plumber, Joe the dumbass conservative voter...

I didn't watch the debate. I was playing with some stuff for work and that was much more interesting. I think I am worn out on the election.

Yes - after getting to work, I peeked at the gas price map and saw that's it was even cheaper a lot of places. Especially in the northern burbs. I'm still happy it's under $3 a gallon though.

Meh. Still $3.59 here. Damn Washington!
