Back in School
More good news yesterday! The results of the bone marrow test came back negative! This was what everyone was expecting, but it was still assuring to have it confirmed. Kevin was also able to go to school a for about 2/3 of the day yesterday and today and will go a full day tomorrow. His teachers have all been so great about modifying his homework e-mailing notes and information that he needs to keep up with the tests for this trimester.
I have been back to work also this week and it felt so good to be able to focus on issues other then cancer. For me, work was the therapy I needed by Mon. Both REM and SpeeDee have been very understanding and are willing to work with us in the months ahead to deal with whatever we need to.
The next step up the ladder will be Friday when we start the chemo. We have to be at Mpls Children's hospital be 8 am. It will be a long and stressful w/e. Hopefully Kevin will not have any big problems with it.
For the WONDERFUL group of people that send us the FANTASTIC surprise in the mail (you know who you are)--thank you so much!! It was so unexpected and thoughtful that it made me cry! Dick was overwhelmed also! Kevin, of course, was just tickled--since his second home is Best Buy.
Keep Kevin in your thoughts and prayers this w/e!
