Your faith scares me

The unaccepting ignorance of some individuals just astounds me at times. Obviously we are all allowed to believe in and have opinions about whatever we want. But certainly a sane and rational person must question the validity of believing that Haley's comet has a spaceship inside of it waiting to deliver the believers to heaven. I mean, come on, don't purposefully refuse to accept scientific fact and logic in order to entertain you ideas of faith.

And this whole mini-rant is born from the discovery of a God hates gays cartoon on the net. It is so wrong on so many levels, I'm still sitting here in a bit of wonder at the perverse propaganda. I shudder to think that there are individuals out there with this sort of close-minded outlook in positions to change children's minds. Unlike little Susy in the strip, who's scared for all the little unsaved kiddies, I'm scared to think of this type of mentality perpetuating itself by those who claim to be "saved".

If somehow -- you reader -- find yourself such an individual, please do humankind a favor and "unsave" yourself so that you can join the rest of the thinking world capable of rational thought.

Us Cursed Atheists

Today the complete ignorance makes me smile at their blissful lack of reason. I just shake my head knowing that they are indeed hopeless.

Off to eat my Oreos at the tanning salon so I'm safely indoors away from those "Christian" folks who're after my hide.
